A ruleset is your organization's editable set of speed ceilings. Tests are judged PASS/FAIL against it.
One ceiling per phase
- There is one ceiling for pre-game and one for post-game.
- Forward and reverse share the phase's ceiling — the software tells the two directions apart automatically.
Clone, edit, restore
- Under Rulesets, clone a governing body (e.g. USPSA, FIPFA) to inherit its default pre/post ceilings — or create one from scratch.
- Edit the ceilings to suit your event.
- Restore reverts a cloned ruleset to its governing body's defaults.
How a test picks its ceiling
Assign a default ruleset to a tournament; each match inherits it unless overridden. At test time the effective ruleset cascades match → tournament.
The global governing-body defaults are maintained by a super admin — see Master console. Confirmed real per-body numbers are an operator task; sensible placeholders ship until then.
